First time visiting the Strawberry Cushion today and I loved it. There was a sign saying Happy New Year, I was seated immediately and the staff I spoke to were polite & pleasant. I had a lovely coffee with a design on it and a roll on slice sausage which we're both very tasty. It was busy this morning but not noisy at all. It was good seeing a local business so busy. I'll definitely be back soon.

Coffee, tea and cake were tiptop. Staff were very considerate, making sure we were okay with gluten as one of their cakes which was normally GF had changed temporarily.

Great place. Just wonderful. Everyone - friends, strangers, young, old - talks to everyone. The place is buzzing. Peerless. We loved it. Good coffee too. Thank you from Nick and Hilary... passing through... and looking forward to a return.

Went today, on my mother's recommendation. Ordered 2 lentil soups and the pesto, goats cheese & tomato panini, followed by a fruit scone and 2 coffees. Waited 20ish minutes, which is at least what I'd expect to wait for freshly prepared food in a small busy eatery. Thick lentil soup which was perfectly seasoned and textured, one of the very best lentil soups I've had. Came with a slice of nice soft white bread and a portion of butter. My panini was perfect, good quality pesto, generously balanced with a lovely goats cheese and thinly sliced tomato. The bread was perfectly toasted. Very good coffee, and a big fruit scone which came with 2 butter portions and, unexpectedly, a small pot of strawberry jam which was a nice touch. I interacted with several of the staff who were friendly. Total cost was £24 which felt like good value, considering it was a perfect experience. I'll definitely be back.. soon

Great wee cafe with very friend staff. Best Carot Cake I have had in a long time. Great wee sitting area outside if weather is being kind to us. Pop in if you can, as the coffee is delicious.

I happened upon this gem of a cafe in my tour of Scotland, and had the finest breakfast of my entire trip. I'm home now remembering the taste of that black pudding and haggis and would love to know where you got it from so I could see if I could get some mail order. Amazing flavours.
